Good winter rain and above average rainfall in spring allowed enough moisture in the soil to get through a cool, dry summer. A late start meant that the fruit had a longer ripening period which led to great colour and flavour across all varieties but particularly, excellent concentration in the reds. 

Harvested at optimum flavour in the cool of the morning. Crushed to 1 tonne fermenters and hand plunged for 2 weeks. Wine is then pressed and put to older french oak for 2.5 years. Racked and allowed to naturally settle before bottling. No fining and no filtration.

Lucious wine with lifted violet aromatics, delicate power, subtle spice and beautiful soft red fruits. A wine that can be shared with friends over a long lunch or dinner.
