The Trip is a barrel selection of the best 6 barrels of Cabernet from the vintage, blended with a small amount of whatever grape we think will make it a better wine and aged in 100% new oak barrels for 30 months.
Aroma: Ripe dark cherries, black currant and chocolate with hints of fennel seed, vanilla and coffee beans. High complexity of aromas.
Palate: An very elegant palate with rounded tannins, sweet dark fruit, dry plums and notes of cocoa beans. Good depth and persistence.
Food Match: Charcoal grilled kid goat or a delicious rabbit ragù
